When we visit San Antonio later this year we plan to visit Riverwalk. Can anyone tell me where parking is available? Are there free lots, pay lots, or meter parking? We visited Riverwalk years ago but we can't remember where we parked for it.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

First, here's a link to the River Walk's website:

And a link to the map of the downtown area, that shows all the parking garages available:

There is no shortage of places to park in the area, from the parking garages, to lots, to parking meters. Telling you where each and every one is would require me going down there and writing down the street names... I know most of that area by landmark, as opposed to street names!
Prices for parking in any location varies depending on what's going on downtown (event-wise), so be prepared for anything from $5/day to $15-$20/day... again, depending on any events going that may be going on at the time, and the nature of the event.
If you want to go different places downtown, don't want to walk, and don't want to move the car and re-park, try the downdown streetcars (trolleys). Different than the regular buses, the streetcars/trolleys are used for the downtown area only, and there are two kind: open and closed-in w/air conditioning. The cost is $1/per person. The RED trolley will take you from Market Square to Alamo Plaza (which is across the street from the River and River Center Mall) and back.

Hope that helps some!

Well, I work downtown at the Marriott Rivercenter, so parking is always an issue with me.
First Stay away from Marriott Rivercenter... up to $27.00/day. Hyatt is at max $21.00/day.
The denny's across from Marriott Rivercenter is $10.00/day.
There are some lots that are $6.00.
Rivercenter mall: Commerce and Crockett Street garages are too expensive. $21.00/max.
Meters are free on Sunday by the Convention Center or the SAWS building.
Hope it helps.
And
Stacy is right about the trolly routes. Use them and go some great places!

The hotel-specific parking garages can be expensive... but don't confuse the Marriott Rivercenter with the Rivercenter Mall parking garage. This is where we normally park when we don't feel like parking at Market Square and riding the trolley. The max we've paid at the Rivercenter Mall parking garage is $12.
But the lots can get expensive when there is a *major* event. They're not too bad, relatively speaking, on non-event days.
Course, we went downtown to see the Cavalier's River Parade last Tuesday night and parked in a City garage... it was $5.00, even that night, during Fiesta week!
