As some of you might have experienced, some really severe weather hit the south Texas area on Sunday.

Here in Corpus Christi, it wasn't so much rain, in fact hardly any rain fell in our city, but it was baseball-size hail that fell west of the city around places like Alice, Beeville, and Mathis.

Tonight, we are under a "Severe Thunderstorm Warning," as well as a "Tornado Watch" down in the Kingsville vicinity

Anything happened in the San Antonio area?

Yea, the rain was pretty bad. I think Bexar county had a tornado warning. I think it was for the south and I lived in the northeast area though. I thought it was suppose to rain today though!! i wanted to miss track!!! lol

It's been raining off and on since I think early afternoon on Sun. around my area (northwest 1604, bout 15 min from FT). Right now it's still raining, but not hard. I just love rain :)

Even more severe weather battered our area Tuesday morning, now apparently caused by an isolated, slow-moving, low-pressure system, which has registered multiple supercell thunderstorms. Several tornadoes already reported with one of them near my town and Port Aransas, as well as widespread flooding across the city, and 60 MPH winds.

All that severe weather is now near Victoria and currently headed for the Houston area. Looks like SFAW might close early today.

We had a major storm come in off of the Edwards Plateau last night around 6 AM up here in Austin. Apparently it woke about everyone up and knocked the power out a few times. It knocked out our septic system.. and well.. it's been a long day.

I want summer weather already..

I like those cloudy, drizzly summer days. Theyre the best for FT

I like rainy days to, as long as the drizzle is persistant and it doesnt get humid.

On Tuesday we had to sit in the hallways downstairs for two hours because of a tornado warning. It was really boring.

I like when it is raining when I sleep. For some reason, it is calming...

rain, rain, and more rain. Fiesta Texas management must be not very happy about it. I, personally, haven't heard anything bad about the rain... but thats only because ride ops like it when the rain comes... you get paid to stand there and tell people your ride is closed because of lightning. ;) However it is kind of sad to see everyone be all disapointed about everything being closed. But hey, if it's gonna rain, its gonna rain. Might was well find the good in it, eh? ;) Anywho, it rained extremley hard here today (Saturday) and tomorrow it's supposed to do it all over again! Mainly in the morning though. And I'll be working tomorrow, too. woohoo!

And the severe weather continues along the gulf. We just got nailed hard again last night. But I think the Houston area got hit even harder. And there are more storms on the way for he next couple days.

Just got home from work and, as predicted, it rained a whoooole lot. Powersurge stayed closed the whole day. Crows Nest, Frisbee, and S.S Overboard stay closed for a while in the morning during the heaviest of the rain, and... that was about it from my area as far as closures go. And pretty much every ride in the park experienced some kind of downtime today. SKC, i know, was down for a long time today... i guess because of the weather. But i had people asking me why it was closed still when everything else was open and all i could say was "I wasn't told the ride was down but it probably has something to do with the weather conditions because they want to be sure its safe." heh.. anywho, even when the rain wasn't around, it was cold the whole time. It felt sooo good outside. December all over again! lol. I had, no joke, TWELVE PEOPLE on my ride between 10 - 12 oclock when i was at that ride but once all the rain stopped at about 1, we had a few rides actually get a line. Would've been the perfect day for an afternoon trip to Fiesta Texas. No lines or anything... Adrian was there, he'd know. ;) Overall good day, especially the part where i got to go get our area water at 9 in the morning during the really cold and pouring down rain. And its even more fun when you have to walk acorss the park to get the water. lol, i love my job.

I wish i could of gone out there, but i thought most of the rides would be closed. Oh well. Anyways, I hope the rain ends soon!

We got some more severe weather last night, which now is resulting in widespread flash flooding all over the Coastal Bend area. Here's some more on that:

The rain around my house has been off and on all weekend. A couple thunderstorms too.

James

the storms keep hammering our weekends, it seems like. We had REALLY hard rain 2 nights ago, with drizzle the next day. Then rain last night, and a rainy day today.

It's almost july, it's been raining for the past week, and the forecast says it's gonna rain another week with the possibility of a cold front? .. and this is Texas right?

I hate this weather.

I like the rain once in awhile. It makes the weather cooler. Just not too much rain...

Brandon

This has happened to a lot of parks. SFFT, SFoT, and SFAW have suffered mass flooding in their parks before. They'll get through this and be back to normal really soon.

SFFT was having some flooding problems too on monday. Our water rides (powersurge, bugs, and gully), polty, and scooby were down for most of the day. But even when they were fixed they had to remain closed until around 6:30 or 7 because of the weather.
