Hey guys, I received word from an Area 6 team member that Fiesta Texas is getting some type of new simulator ride this summer, I believe. It'll be located in the old virtual reality place in Rockville and sit about 10 people at a time. At first, I thought it was one of the new Sponge Bob things that SFI has been placing at a few of their parks latley, but our venue isnt big enough for that. Then I thought maybe it'd be one of the new Stargate simulators that SFI has been placing in their parks latley as well, but its probably not a Stargate simulator because Six Flags has already said what parks they are putting the Stargate simulators at and Fiesta Texas was not one of them, so I'm not sure what its gonna be, but here's a topic open for speculation.

Just remember our forums rules about rumors when posting.. :)

EDIT: the theater attraction is also on the back of our cert cards that us Ride Ops wear at the park. A cert card (certification card) is just a card with your name, park, and position on the front, and on the back is has all the rides at Fiesta Texas and a stamp hole next to each ride. You get your hole stamped out on the rides you are certified on. But anywho, "theater" is one of the rides/attractions. And that's what this new attraction is.

OK, i am GLAD it is not going to be a stupid SpongeBob Thingy. I wonder what it will show. Maybe the simpsons. LOL. I love the simpsons. But that makes no since to have the simpsons in an amusement park. What do yall think?

nope, i haven't been on it, but it is open from what i hear. It is an upcharge attraction though, and i still dont even know what it is. I'll have to walk by one of these days to see, but its kind of hard when you're on the boardwalk all the time. hmmm maybe one of these days when im walking to powersurge ill pay attention to it.
Anywho, once i know what exactly it is and how much it is I'll add it to the site and post it in the news, but until then...

Update: The "theater" is open (i still don't know its official name) and its a motion simulator ride with several different films. You sit in a little pod, i guess you could call it, and your chair moves with the movie, or its supposed to anyways, but they're workin on that. It's $5 and they have movies like a bobsled ride, a road rage type of film, uhhh forgot what else.
