Now I hear that in 2005, every ride in the park will have automated spiels. woohoo. I'm sure they'll be a few that won't. From what i hear, Boomerang won't, but appearantly the majority, if not all of the rides, or at least all the major rides, will be getting them. Cool beans. Except I LOVE spieling... hmph. :( I'll probably spiel anyways instead of using the machine... :)

lol shutup Byron. If they tell me "WE COMMAND YOU TO USE AUTOMATED SPIELS!!!" (well i dont think they'd say it like that, but you know what i mean) then I would use them. I'm just saying I love spieling and don't want a machine to do it for me.

The whole "Welcome to [ride] please keep your hands inside the vehicle and do not lean on the safety gates" thing.
I'm sure James could give you a more accurate description

Oh, I'd rather have speils. The guy at Der Twister yesterday talked his ASS off for like 4 minuets.

We have auto-spiels at Frontier City, which is great because I'd rather not want to lose my breath by talking constantly every few minutes for hours.
All of our rides, except the kiddie rides, have mechanical spiels.....either automatically or by a simple push of a button on our control panel. Rides in kiddieland, the operators have to say the spiels themselves.

Yeah, I actually work there this season.....but don't tell anyone! ;)
If I could come up with my own spiel for the Eruption (S&S Sky Sling) -- the ride I work 99% of the time -- just for fun, it would go something like this:
"Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the Eruption, the tallest thrill ride in Oklahoma! It's been nice knowing you, and we hope that you enjoy your new casket you're sitting in!"
That spiel actually does add to the scare factor of the REALLY nervous guests as they board the ride as I found out. It's always fun to play some mind games with those who are scared when they get on the ride.

I dont know but he did some fancy thing with it. I think he called the double shot. Instead of going up and going into flips, He fliped it twice. It was fun.
