Myself and a coworker were talking to Henry from maintainence today about rides. Henry remembers helping put up Scream's queue-gates and setting up Taz and Bus, moving Frisbee to Area 5 and putting up Boomer. Also he remembers when Superman was put in. He said, when asked specifically about the Batman (Superman Great Escape) ride that had been rumored to be moving to SFFT, that , "You didn't hear it from me." He went on to say that they would really love another large-scale coaster such as Superman, but it's jsut not in the cards for now. He said the best area for any new roller coaster would be at Joker's old spot. Joker, which is at SFNO, apparently wasn't a very good ride or something. Anyway, I doubt any new rides of Suoerman's size for a few seasons. I think the park should focus on more microscopic things like new paint (esspecially in Rockville!) and maybe some flat rides that won't break the pocket bank. Isn't the arcade on the boardwalk slated to become something? Let us just have fun this season and hope for the best next year! I love SFFT how it is!

It may still be too early to be thinking about this. I'd like to see something major, but with the addition of Scooby Do and Tornado the last few seasons, chances are it may be a couple more years, especially if Six Flags Over Texas gets something big next season for its 45th anniversary, or if Astroworld, Frontier City or SFNO get some long overdue coasters. I just don't see them putting in more than one or two major rides in the Texas /Oklahoma/Louisiana market in one year, which will be next year and, all things considered, SFFT may be down the list.
