Found it as a shock to hear this on the news this morning. Very sad.. he was a cool guy.

Yeah. My daughter 7, is a huge Animal Planet addict and is taking things kind of hard. She's going to send his wife and kids a sympathy card.

I always 'worried' about him; he took so many risks in doing what he did.

It's one thing to work with the kind of animals and creatures he did, but doing the kinds of things he did was a mass practice in tempting fate.

My heart goes out to his wife and children... the kids are so young to be without their dad.
