We don't say this very often down here, but it is freezing cold for most of the state.
We're seeing rain and drizzle in Corpus Christi, Brownsville, and Laredo. It is freezing rain in Austin, San Antonio, and Houston. And it is snowing up in Dallas and Fort Worth.
Schools and businesses all over the state being cancelled, cities shut down temporarily. What a January we're seeing this year unlike last year's....a complete contrast (it was quite mild and warm thoughout January 2006).

Yep. It snowed here for a few hours today, then went to sleet, and a little while ago its freezing rain. Going to be bad again tomorrow.

There was snow to the west of us, but mostly sleet and freezing rain here in SA.

Been off of school for 5 days and loving it. lol. Sorry I don't have any pictures to share, but all those pictures are similar to what it looks like here. Ice everywhere. Car/trucks covered. Nice SUV Brandon BTW.

Here's a couple more photos I took today. I'll leave them up a few days or so then remove them to save the space....

Similar situation up state. Lot of accidents Wednesday, no one seriously hurt. Schools closed, although the roads were fine by noon.
Supposed to get some more this weekend. Yippee! I finally get a Saturday off and I'll be stuck at home ...

The pool at our complex. Anyone for a swim?? lolHaha, right! Our pool's water is 41 degrees right now, no way I'm going near it.
And unfortunately, I noticed that another batch is supposed to come in early next week. I was hoping to make it down to SA this weekend, but it looks like there's going to be LOTS of rain... makes me want that 110ish degree summer heat back.

Well, I don't know about 110 degrees, but certainly the 90's anyway!! I actually love ice and snow, the beauty of it, but I sure wish we could have that without the cold that goes with it. I know, I'm a bit delusional... what can I say. heehee.
I noticed too that we're supposed to get another cold snap with a chance of ice again. Woohoo. (notice there's no exclamation marks, no smiley faces. Now, if we get some time off work, I might just change that. lol)
