Alrighty.....so I'm not going to write too much on this TR.
It was a nice day out and the crowds were not too bad for a Saturday. I didn't take a lot of pictures because my camera was locked up in a locker most of the time. The park was ok for being one of the older Six Flags Parks but I must say that it's age truly showed. We definitely had a good time though. Evel Knievel is one of the best wooden coasters I have ever ridden. When I first looked at E.K. I thought it was going to be a let down. It's not very tall and it doesn't seem very long. I was proven wrong. E.K. was really fun, fast, and not too rough for a wooden coaster. I hope for 2009 they fix up a lot of the theming around the rest of the park and paint paint paint!!!!!! Batman the Ride and Mr. Freeze need a MAJOR rehab as soon as possible. Oh yeh.......I got a picture of a vallied Mr. Freeze train. :-D Oh well...on to the pics..... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Nice pics. I actually went to the park about a month ago. I got the first ride of the day on E.K. I agree with you. I thought it was going to be a pretty tame ride, but wow. Fun. I mean, it's not the best wooden coaster ever, but it was fast, smooth and loaded with airtime.
Everything else was pretty much cookie cutter. Freeze was dirty, but fun. Batman was great, as usual. Ninja was surprisingly smooth. Screaming Eagle was alright. Tony Hawk's was Tony Hawk. The mine train was long. Surprise of the day was the Boss. Wow. I knew it ran with Gerstlauer trains, so I was expecting a VERY painful ride. I sat in the front hoping to minimize the spinal damage. I was wrong. Smooth, fast, lots of positive g's and LOTS of air. Overall I agree with you that this park has shown its age, but with a little TLC, who knows what can happen. Oh yeah forgot to say that Dungeo...I mean Superman was fun. |

Yeh.....the park does need some TLC, especially the Freeze and Batman queues. They really need to shorten those puppies up. |

We got to the park around noonish and we did 2 rides on B:TR in about 10 minutes. We then headed over to Ninja and rode that.....regretfully. We kind of got a little annoyed because we went over to Tony Hawk and it was down.....so we went over to the Boss.....and just as we were walking through the Boss queue, we noticed that Mr. Freeze had the vallied train........and then we get into the Boss station, and it went down. We were at the park for about 5-6 hours but probably could have done what we did in about 3 had everything been running smoothly.
